                    Scott Allen is a firm believer in the Energy Star program. So firm,
                    in fact, that he was one of the few builders to take their ratings
                    class, normally offered for home inspectors, and build his own
                    home to Energy Star standards six years ago.

                    “When we built our last home, we decided to build it to Energy
                     Star standards. I had already begun to think that there were long-
                     term problems with a lot of homes with built up condensation
                     and poor air quality, so I gave Energy Star a chance. I honestly believe that people with Energy Star homes have less sickness overall because the air in their home is cleaner and less polluted.”

Scott grew up in the industry working under his father, James Allen, another local builder. When his dad retired, Scott went out on his own and started Scott Allen Construction, LLC. “The transfer went smoothly,” Scott says, because of his father’s excellent reputation.
